How to mint a Cromon NFT on Cronos
Minting a Cromon in Cromon Quest takes about 30 seconds. You need a wallet on the Cronos network holding some CRO. You pick one of three Rift tiers: Basic at 20 CRO, Premium at 50 CRO, or Ultra at 150 CRO. Then you confirm the transaction. The mint uses an on-chain commit-reveal: your transaction locks the outcome first, the reveal lands a few blocks later, and nobody can predict or re-roll the result. Higher tiers shift the published rarity odds toward Rare, Epic and Legendary Cromons and raise the guaranteed stat floor. The minted Cromon is an ERC-721 token delivered straight to your wallet, ready to battle, forge or trade.
What do I need to mint?
A connected Cromon Quest account (see how to start playing) and CRO in your wallet. CRO is the native token of Cronos: you can buy it on Crypto.com or most major exchanges and withdraw it to your wallet on the Cronos network. Keep a little extra beyond the Rift price for gas, which is small on Cronos.
Which Rift tier should I pick?
Basic (20 CRO) is the volume roll: mostly Common and Uncommon with a real but small shot at better. Premium (50 CRO) is the balance point, with a quarter of rolls landing Rare and real Epic odds. Ultra (150 CRO) inverts the curve toward Rare and above and carries the highest Legendary chance. The exact percentages per rarity are published on the minting page, rendered from the same values the contract enforces.
How does the commit-reveal mint work?
In two on-chain steps. Your mint transaction commits first: at that moment the outcome is sealed, but unknown to everyone including the team. A few Cronos blocks later the reveal opens the Rift: species from the 120-Cromon catalog, rarity from your tier's odds, stats from its range. The two-step design is what makes the mint provably fair: the outcome depends on a future block hash nobody knows at commit time, so no one can peek at the result, and there is no way to retry a roll you dislike.
- Fund your wallet with CRO. Hold CRO on the Cronos network, a little above the Rift price to cover gas.
- Pick a Rift tier. Choose Basic (20 CRO), Premium (50 CRO) or Ultra (150 CRO). The tier sets the rarity odds and the stat range.
- Confirm the mint. Your transaction commits a sealed outcome on chain. Nobody, the team included, can read it yet.
- Wait for the reveal. A few Cronos blocks later the Rift opens, in about 30 seconds. Our keeper reveals for you, so there is nothing to click.
- Meet your Cromon. The Cromon lands in your wallet and in your collection, with its species, its rarity and its rolled stats.
What happens after the reveal?
The Cromon appears in your collection and in your wallet. From there it is a fighter for the Arena or a World Boss raid, a miner for The Deeps, or fusion fuel: three copies of the same species and rarity feed the Fusion Forge. Check its species page, like Kindlekin's or Cromy's, for matchups and lore.
