The Cromon Quest referral program

Every Keeper in Cromon Quest, the creature-collection RPG on Cronos, has a personal referral link. When someone signs up through it, both sides are paid in the game's currencies at their onboarding: the recruit receives 200 Shards and 20 CroCoin on top of the three free starter Cromons, and the referrer receives 800 Shards and 80 CroCoin. Once the recruit has opened 3 paid Rifts, the referrer also earns a free mint, delivered as a real NFT by the same contract as a paid one. There is no cap on recruits and no tier to climb: every qualified recruit is worth the same free mint. A code can be entered up to 24 hours after onboarding for anyone who signed up without a link.

The panel tracks each recruit from signup to the free mint: how many paid Rifts they have opened out of 3.

What does each side receive?

The recruit, at onboarding
200 Shards + 20 CroCoin

On top of Kindlekin, Pladdle and Sproutara, the three starters every new Keeper gets anyway. Enough to start the first camp building on day one.

The referrer, at the same moment
800 Shards + 80 CroCoin

Credited the instant the recruit finishes onboarding, with a notification in the bell. Four times the recruit's bonus, because bringing a Keeper in is the harder half.

Then the part that matters: once the recruit opens 3 paid Rifts, whichever tier (Basic at 20 CRO counts as much as Ultra at 150), the referrer is queued a free mint. It is minted on chain by the same contract as a paid Rift, with the same published odds, and it lands in the referrer's wallet as an ERC-721 like any other Cromon.

How does a referral link work?

  1. Share your link. It is quest.cromon.fun/r/ followed by your code, shown in the Recruit Keepers panel with a QR code and a share image you can post as is.
  2. The recruit opens it. The code is remembered for their visit, then survives the wallet login. They do not need to type anything.
  3. They finish onboarding. Keeper name, terms, starters. At that moment the two accounts are linked and both bonuses are paid.
  4. They mint. Each paid Rift moves their counter. At 3, your free mint is queued and you are notified when it is ready to claim.

Forgot the link? A recruit can still enter a code in the game within 24 hours of onboarding. After that window the account counts as organic, permanently: a referral cannot be attached to a Keeper who has been playing for a week.

What counts as a paid Rift?

A Rift the recruit paid CRO for, on the mint page. Free mints do not count, in either direction: a recruit's own referral reward or Discord giveaway does not move the counter, and the free mint you earn cannot be re-counted as a paid one by whoever referred you. This is what keeps the programme from feeding itself. Buying a Cromon on the marketplace does not count either: the qualification is about new Cromons entering the game, not existing ones changing hands.

Where do the bonuses go, and what are they worth?

Shards and CroCoin are the two in-game currencies, and they cannot leave the game: they are what camp buildings, shop items and Cromite refining are paid in. 200 Shards is roughly the price of the first level of the Aether Conduit or the Aether Reactor, the two buildings that pace the Arena, so a recruit's bonus is designed to be spent on day one, not hoarded. The referrer's 800 Shards fund a level or two further up the same ladder.

The free mint is different in kind: it is a real NFT, tradeable, forgeable at the Fusion Forge, and it rolls its species from the same 120 as any Rift, from a Kindlekin to a Crysalion if the odds smile.

What does the programme not do?

It does not pay in CRO, and it does not reward a referral for anything the recruit does other than mint. There is no percentage of a recruit's spending, no multi-level tree and no bonus for the recruit's recruits: the line ends at the free mint. That is on purpose. A programme that paid out of a recruit's future purchases would give every Keeper a reason to sell the game rather than play it, and a game sold that way stops being fun to join. Invite the people you actually want in the Arena with you; the free mint follows.
