World Boss: server-wide co-op raids

The World Boss is Cromon Quest's cooperative event: for several days, a single colossal boss threatens the Crystal Void and every Keeper on the server fights the same HP pool. You raid with a team of three Cromons, using free raid energy: up to 3 attacks banked, one back every 6 hours. Each fight is scored on the damage you deal. Community damage unlocks shared reward tiers for everyone, and the top 3 damage dealers take podium prizes when the event settles. It runs in your browser on Cronos, and joining costs nothing: new Keepers start with three free starter Cromons.

How a World Boss event works

  1. 1

    The boss spawns

A new boss goes live for several days with one server-wide HP pool. Its element telegraphs which attackers hit hardest.

  2. 2

    Raid with three Cromons

Spend a raid energy, pick your squad and let the fight play out. Type advantage against the boss element pays off.

  3. 3

    Unlock tiers together

Every point of damage from every Keeper drains the same pool. Damage milestones unlock reward tiers for all participants.

  4. 4

    Settle and collect

When the event ends, every Keeper who fought banks the unlocked tiers and the top 3 damage dealers claim the podium.

The hall of records: every past boss, how much of it the server destroyed, and your own damage and rank on each.

What do the community reward tiers pay?

Six milestones, each unlocked for every participant the moment the server's total damage reaches that share of the boss's HP. They are paid at the settle, and only the ones actually crossed: a boss that escapes with 40% destroyed pays First Blood, Enraged and Cracked Armor to everyone who fought it. The podium on top goes to the three highest damage totals: 500 Shards and 25 CroCoin for #1, 300 Shards and 15 CroCoin for #2, 200 Shards and 10 CroCoin for #3.

How is a raid fought and scored?

A raid is an auto-battle of your three Cromons against the boss alone, played with the Arena rules: the same stat rolls, crits, blocks and dodges, and the same 1.5x for an element that beats the boss's, 0.75x for one it beats. The boss hits back hard, and its blows can cleave onto a second fighter, so a front line that survives long enough for the strikers to work matters more than raw attack, and a Cromon sent again within 10 hours raids at three quarters of its strength. Every fight has a round limit set per boss, 20 by default: when it is reached the boss unleashes its rage and wipes whoever is still standing, and your score for that raid is the damage you dealt before it lands. Each raid also receives a letter grade from F to S+, and some hours of an event carry a damage multiplier announced in advance, so the best raiders save their energy for those windows.

How long does an event last, and what if the boss is not slain?

A boss stays for several days, 5 being the usual window, and its dates are announced when it spawns. Raid energy is its own pool, separate from Aether: you receive 3 attacks when the boss spawns, hold at most 3, and one comes back every 6 hours, so a Keeper who never lets the pool sit full lands about four raids a day on top of the three the spawn grants. If the pool is not drained by the end, the boss escapes: the tiers the server did cross are still paid, the podium is still settled on the damage dealt, and the boss goes into the hall of records with the share of its HP that was destroyed. Every event is one shared fight, so a slain boss is a server achievement, not a personal one.

World Boss questions, answered

Do I fight the World Boss alone?

You raid with your own team of three Cromons, but the boss HP pool is shared by the whole server. Every Keeper's damage counts toward the same community total, and reward tiers unlock for everyone as the pool drops.

How often can I attack the World Boss?

Raid energy is free and dedicated to the event: you hold up to 3 attacks and one recharges every 6 hours, so checking in a few times a day keeps you swinging.

What rewards does a World Boss event give?

Community damage milestones unlock reward tiers of Shards, CroCoin, XP, items and temporary boosts for every participant. On top of that, the top 3 damage dealers claim podium prizes when the event settles.

What is the rage finisher?

Every raid has a round limit. When the final round hits, the boss unleashes its ultimate and wipes any Cromon still standing: your score is the damage you dealt before it lands.
